FAQ

1. WHAT IS OXI?

Oxi Clip - is wearable ear clip for non-invasive health monitoring and stress control. It tracks: Stress Level, Cardiac Aging, Adaptation Level/Recovery, Pulse, HRV, Blood Pressure, Glucose Level, Oxygen Saturation (SpO2), Wellness.

2. HOW DOES OXI MEASURE MY HEART RATE VARIABILITY?

Oxi measures your HRV by detecting changes in your Blood Pulse Volume (PPG). The measurements are done from the vessels of your earlobe using two infrared LEDs.

3. CAN WE USE HRV AS A TOOL TO MEASURE STRESS LEVEL?

Yes, the current neurobiological evidence suggests that HRV is impacted by stress and supports its use for the objective assessment of psychological health and stress. Heart rate variability increases during relaxing and recovering activities and decreases during stress. Accordingly, HRV is typically higher when the heart is beating slowly and decreases as the heart beats more quickly. In other words, heart rate and HRV have a generally inverse relationship.

4. DOES OXI TRACK MY HEART RATE DURING EXERCISE?

Yes, Oxi tracks heart rate during exercise or other activities.

5. THE OXI CLIP AND EMF

The Oxi clip is a Bluetooth Smart class 2 device. Bluetooth is only active on the clip for short periods of time, well below 1% of the day. Data is transmitted more continuously when the clip syncs with the app, and during firmware updates.

6. HOW DOES OXI MEASURE MY GLUCOSE?

MWPPG diodes emit a discrete wavelength from ~ 600 ~ 2000 nm through the earlobe. As the light wave passes through the tissue and blood capillaries, the light is partially absorbed and consequently, the light signal is changed. Advanced algorithms use this data to calculate the correlation between the signal and the bio parameters.

7. WHAT IS THE CALIBRATION PROCESS?

During the initial calibration period, usually for 3 days, you need to measure your glucose levels invasively and put your data to the app.

8. WHAT IS THE ACCURACY?

Over 2500 non-invasive measurements were compared against the golden standard reference device (YSI). 80% of the total non-invasive measurements are within 23% ARD (Absolute Relative Difference). Anyway, blood glucose app measurements are not intended for medical use, including self-diagnosis or consultation with a doctor, and are only designed for general wellness purposes.

9. DO I NEED AN ADDITIONAL INVASIVE GLUCOMETER?

Yes, you will need an additional invasive glucometer for the calibration process.

10. THE OXI CLIP AND WELLNESS

Scientists and physicians consider HRV to be an important indicator of health. HRV is a method that has been used in healthcare and professional sports for decades. HRV is also a marker of cardiac (biological) aging.

11. IF I RESERVE NOW WHEN I CAN BUY MY OXI CLIP?

Production is expected to begin in early 2021. The first batch will consist of 10,000 pieces. The second batch is expected in late 2021.
